BHP "Silver Chrome" Finish???

Can somebody tell me definitively what Browning's "Silver Chrome" finish really is?

Is it simply a hard chrome plating, or is it something super-secret and exotic?

Brushed hard chrome which is a very hard finish. I have a MK III Silver Chrome Hi Power I bought new in 1994. Its got the gold "pimp" trigger and factory adjustable Millet sights.
