I've decided to share my experience with the Bianchi M12 military-style dual mag pouch. I've had mine for several years.

Though nominally designed to hold two Beretta M9 magazines, this pouch is also adaptable to other kinds of magazines. For use with Glock 17/22 magazines, the plastic insert divider must be removed. For use with 1911 magazines, you must remove the divider and use the lower of the two snaps. Unfortunately, it will not fit Glock .45 magazines.

Beretta or Glock magazines with +2 adaptors will also fit. I don't know if ten round 1911 magazine would fit, it would be interesting to hear if they did.

Lastly, the bar-and-hook system of mounting allows the pouch to be donned or removed without removing one's belt.

So let's hear it for a well designed and versatile piece of gear!

(Note: I don't work for Bianchi :p )

I tried using the quad mag pouch during an IPSC match, and while it worked well enough, I'd like to see it deisgned so that it will hold four magazines that all face the same directions.

As it was, the front two mags had the baseplate facing forwards, and the rear mags were facing backwards. A fast reload can be messed up if you reach around to your weak side expecting the mag to be facing one way, when in fact it is facing another.
