The Biden Commission (apparently an open, honest discussion means putting a man who has never met a gun control law he didn't like in charge of evaluating possible solutions) includes Thomas Nee, President of the National Association kf Police Officers and a Boston police officer.
Nee has special knowledge in this area as his teen son was convicted in 2008 of attempting to shoot up his school (possibly with his father's service weapon). It will be interesting to see whether Nee will recommend gun control that would have affected him in his situation. I won't hold my breath.
