The Browning BLR comes in some pretty powerful calibers (depending on how you define "power")...300 Win Mag for one, I'm not sure if its offered in anything bigger or not...can't remember.

The BLR is offered in 358 win, 450 Marlin, 300 and 325 WSM. I would pick any of these over the 300 Win Mag version. The extra length needed to fit a long action cartridge completely changes the way the rifle handles and not for the better.

Though I have never handled a long action BLR...I'm sure you are correct and thanks for pointing it out because I didn't think to mention it.

I have 2 BLR's...a 358 and a 243.
