ive always wanted a desert eagle, its one of my all time favorites since i was a young kid. i just dont have 1200.00$ for one, and i cant use it for hunting.:(

i think that you should be able to use what ever you want to hunt with, but with all the Dummy-crates and liberals out here in illinois, were fighting just to keep our guns! (now..... i am not saying all democrates or liberals are at fault) but i just pisses me off when people that dont like guns, are in charge of what/how those who do, use them. and what they say is what goes.

thanks guys for all the info. i have been looking all over the net for all different kinds of info on prices, ballistics, and real world shootability of these revolvers. i think that i am going to put my money on the raging bull, in 44 mag. since it is close to the perfromance of other large cartridges, and is a little cheaper. i alos think its a good cartridge to start with scince it will be my first large bore revolver.

keep the good stories coming.

thanks again guys, brian

I tried just about everything other than a Freedom Arms revolver and a BFR. I think it may be time for a BFR.

HOLY CRAP!!!!

i was just on the MAGNIMREASEARCh website and seen that the BFR comes in a .444 marlin. i did not know what this cartridge was so i looked it up. CRAP!! thisg looks like a frikcen tank round. i think that one day, i will have to have me one of those.

the BFR's are actually not badly priced. 899.00$ for any thing from 22 hornet to 500 S&W. check out there site if you havent, they have some nice guns and not to bad prices.

how does the BFR stack up to the other revolvers. looks like they only make one style. i am guessing with rounds like the 444 marlin, its a pretty hefty gun. very interested. add another one to the short list.

I've shot the BFR in .45-70 and found it to be far easier on the wrists than the .454 Casull out of the SRH. The round is bigger, but the pressures are lower. With the long cylinders you're giving up barrel length which reduces velocity of course.
