Anyone been to the Bill Goodman gun shows in Dayton recently?

I know there used to be a guy who would thread your rifle barrel while you wait for a very reasonable price. Has there been anyone at the Dayton shows recently who will do that?

I'm considering going up there this weekend. It would be well worth it if I could get my AK barrel threaded and not have to mess with renting a threading kit.

    Thanks!

I have been to the Dayton show several times this year and there is a guy who has several tables with high glass cases who has a bunch of AK and AR parts, etc. Could he be the one? I have no idea if he threads barrels though.

I have been going to the Dayton show off and on for over 10 years and I have never noticed anyone dropping off barrels to be threaded, but then again I'm not into AK's so I wasn't looking either.

I have been to a few of the shows recently and I haven't seen anyone threading any barrels. This doesn't mean that he isn't still there...I just haven't noticed him. I'd recommend just heading up there and looking around. You may even find something you don't really "need," and hopefully you'll find the fella you're looking for as well.

    Good Luck,

The last time I was at a Goodman show was 10-12 years ago, when OGCA happened to be next door on the same weekend.
I was planning on head over just kill some time and to check out the used shotgun market.

    Thanks. I'll probably go.
Whoever the guy was, he had a sign that said he did barrel threading. It was a while ago and I didn't even own a rifle at the time.

    I'm sure I'll see plenty of things I don't "need". :D
