I am looking at bipods

For sure I want one that can take a sling attachment.

I frequently find myself shooting from the sitting position, it is easy to get into quickly, and you have a bit of stability but still have a bit of elevation, sometimes prone is too slow to get into and too low to have good visibility in longish grass

I was looking at one that was 14-24 inches (14-29 maybe?) I am assuming that is leg length, not distance above ground, correct?

How long of the legs do you need to have to get a good hight for sitting and using the bipod?

It seems like the average bipod has it's legs 90 degrees from eachother, or each leg 45 degrees from the centerline of the rifle. does anyone make a bipod that has legs set closer together? I imagine that with legs at full 25 inch extention, they are giving a VERY wide base, and that contributes to how long the legs need to be to get the rifle as high as needed, it seems to me something that has the legs at 90 degrees apart for the more compact setting of 12-15 inches but has the legs 60 degrees apart, or even 45 degrees apart for the 25-30 inch setting would allow much more verticle hight.
