CraigC , Do you like the cast bullets? I've never shot a cast load in my life, don't know anything about them. I know they are a lot cheaper than jacketed bullets.

Iggy, Thank You for your sevice as well! God Bless all who put their live on the line!

I have just aquired a ruger bisley blackhawk with a 7.24 barrel , brand new in the box. It is perfect condition, still wrapped in the green plastic wrap, still has the yellow insert in the cylinder. Brand new in a plastic case, has a small envelope in it with a test fired case, dated 2002. I want an idea of what it is worth?

Would be a 7 1/2" barrel actually. Very fine revolver in a fantastic chambering. Have a pair of older cardboard boxed ones here as well as one of the stainless 5 1/2" models that remains tucked away. Generally, they're the more desirable of the cataloged Bisley models. These and the .32 mag models. Those that shipped with fluted cylinders are the more valuable. I often notice the older ones will command a bit of a premium if they have the proper box - $600 range. The plastic boxed ones for whatever reason are a bit below this amount.
Unless you got it as an investment, the value shouldn't really come into play. Shoot it and enjoy it. :)

I love cast bullets and use them almost exclusively. They're much cheaper and proper designs work very well on game too.

I agree 100% with CraigC. I'll take my cast bullet handloads over ANY factory ammo.

CraigC and Drail/ do you buy them or pour your own? In either case. how much tin to lead keeps them from fouling the heck out of the barrel?

BlkHawk73, you are correct on the length, I knew it and spaced it! Old timers ya know! I love this thing , doesn't have the fluted barrel . However as you pointed out.... It's a keeper so I've gave up on the value!
