Saw a comercial for it on TV and figured I'd look it up. I have a jumper box for the car that has two plug's and a work light. Seems like they took the basic idea of a jumper box for your car and just modified it with a rechargable flashlight and radio and such.

Any thought's? Seems like a good thing to have in a SHTF type situation since it has power to plug something in that doesn't need a lot of power to run (like recharging a cell phone) a work light, a flash light that recharges from the main pack, and a radio all in one. Only draw back I can see is something similer that just takes batteries (which would be a good idea too) instead of charging up from an outlet is you can keep spare battieries and not spare power if the power is out. Still, I'd say this looks like a good idea and somethign to have.

Go look at one and you wont be interested much longer. Cheap plastic everywhere, they have them at Home Depot. Cheap crap, stay away. Stay very far away.

I had my worries. Black and decker has some good products but I wont buy their tools anymore.

Still though, good concept none the less if someone takes it and builds it better like DeWalt.

DeWalt? you mean Black and Decker? Yep, same company. DeWalt is simply Black and Decker's premium brand. Most of the tools are Balck and decker's old Industrial line painted yellow.

target used to have a portable power source like that, you could plug it into a automotive lighter outlet. didn't have a radio, but it did have a work lamp, and a couple of standard plugs for regular appliances. came with every adapter head and plug in existance. it was about $30 .
