With Black Friday and Cyber Monday quickly approaching, does anyone know of any places that will have good deals on guns, ammo, etc? I'm sure some places are already advertising their deals. I'm mostly interested in online deals. Thanks.

thanks for posting that. I was pretty excited to see a nikon 223 scope for $100 until I realized it must be a higher end model because it was really $100 off and was still $350. Apparently I need better glass just to read the prices right.

This is a shot of Dick's sales from last year. Other things on sale were Maverick 88's for $180, 870 Express for $270, buy one ammo, get one 50% off.



With another year removed from Sandy Hook, I wonder how much lower the retailers will be selling guns. With how poor the economy is at the moment, I'm thinking the reductions are going to be a lot more to get as many people in as possible.

I filled a couple of needs from a pre-Black Friday sale at one of our LGS'. They had good deals on quite a few guns that they had in stock. I have a Springfield 1911 Mil Spec Stainless that's going to my oldest son when he turns 21 next year. I replaced it with a Parkerized Mil Spec for $530. I don't have a good 12 gauge shotgun and picked up a Mossberg 500 with both 18.5 inch and 28 inch barrels for $300. Since they had both in stock, there were no transfer fees.

I noticed that the Dick's in my area, St. Louis County, has no semi-auto deer rifles either. I didn't know if that was some kind of "refusal" on their part or just not much call for them.

Sure is... and I just got a pair of Leica 8x42 BA Trinovid binoculars at a pawn shop, with lens caps, case, excellent lanyard, all for $30.28. Yes I said Three Oh Point Two eight dollars. And yes, it's in excellent shape! Just as good as my Kahles 8x42s I've used for years.

And it's not even black Friday yet... (but I do have my eye on a 2 inch S&W 10-5 snubby which is now priced at $349 and I hope 20 percent off Friday if it survives till then.)
