This may be something that everybody but me has heard about or seen, or maybe not.

I picked up a box of SPG Lube at Cabela's last weekend in Billings and lo and behold it's made here in Cody. Not only that but the maker produces this magazine which I happened to get a "Free" copy of at Wyoming Armory a couple of days ago.

As far as the BP Cartridge lube, I've got 50 rounds loaded but haven't sent any down the barrel yet.

I'm about half way through five hundred .45-70 bullets lubed with the stuff.Almost as good as Alox, but never, EVER mix the two.Alox, black powder and SPG make a gosh awful mess in the bore.

Steve Garbe, the inventor & seller of SPG lube, is also the editor of Black Powder Cartridge News. I've been using SPG lube almost exclusively for the last 7-8 years & really like it in both muzzle & breach loading BP guns.....though it apparently also does well with smokeless powder too. I subscribed to the BPCN magazine for a couple of years, also. Quite enjoyed it, but I've since let all my magazine subscriptions lapse.

Thanks for the magizine link, I'm going to try it.
I've been using 50% beeswax, 40% crisco, 10% lanolin for my BP lube its a modified Emmerts lube. I'm very happy with it so far.

I use SPG on my minies. Good stuff.

BPCN is a good magazine and I've cited it in my research. I just don't have time or space to subscribe or read everything.
