I have a Laminated/SS .22/250 that currently is wearing a Nikon 4.5-14x scope that is also silver. I'm looking to move up to an 8-32x, probably Burris or possibly Bushnell 4200.

Unfortunately these only come in matte black, does anyone have pics of their black/SS guns? What colors did you use on your mounts and bases?

thanks

I don't have any photographs, but I went through the same delemna you're going through. Just personal taste, but I think if you use matte black rings and scope on top of a stainless rifle, it usually looks pretty good. Also, it's sometimes hard to match the silver tone of the scope with the stainless tone of the rifle.

Here is a picture of my 1022 that is stainless and it has a black scope.

What color shoes will you be wearing while holding this rifle? ... We need to make sure they don't clash. :D ;)

Drat! Just when I was going to say "don't use silver rings with a black scope..."!!! ;)

I think the Rrrrr-uger rings look good, no matter what color they are.
They're just a good setup, period.
Swingset - nice looking firearm you have there. :)

thumbtack - your 10/22 looks good, too.
The black/black on that rifle looks right.

As said, silver and black always go together nicely.

Nice photos posted by everyone. Looks like I need to re-do mine to get the more profesional looking results. Really like the unit Swingset posted.

A mixture of stainless and blue can really be stunning if done right. Sometime in the future I'd like to get a stainless Green Mountain barrel to go on my 10/22 with a black action. I'm wondering what stainless rings would look like. I think the stainless barrel and black action would look good in the red, gray, and brown laminated stock.

hmm. I think I've settled on the Burris Black Diamond matte in 8-32x. Also the Burris 30mm Signature rings.

I like the look of SS action/barrel with silver rings and black scope...maybe even a black base too.

Does Burris make the Signature rings in silver?
