Check the Buy, Sell and Trade: Accessories area about 3 to 5 pages back, maybe even more. There was someone selling quite a bit of black talons in 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP. Dont quote me on it though.

Where and to what purpose will it be displayed? I have a couple of 20 round boxes purchased in the first few weeks Black Talon was on the market. A donation or loan may be in order.

Those 230gr Black Talons offered some of the most picture perfect expansion in play dough of all the JHPs I've tested. And yes, the "spiral serrations" from the "talons" were very much visible in the crush cavity.

If I were offered a lifetime supply of any .45acp JHP I wanted, it would certainly be the 230gr Black talon.

They make me happy.

Highpower and Huck Phinn, I would be interested in talking to you about that.

I really can't discuss the reason, but I will pm you. I will be able to return the box.

I really can't discuss the reason,

Pittspilot,

If your intended display of the Black Talon ammo cannot be discussed openly on a strongly Second Amendment oriented forum such as The High Road, I cannot imagine participating by selling, donating, or lending my ammo.

Huck

The Black Talons of the day were delayed or late opening bullets. Winchester has subsequently modified it's Ranger T line of ammo to open earlier but still penetrate.

The Super-Vel of Lee Jurras with expansion a sometimes thing has given way over the last 3 decades of bullet design to become todays controlled expansion rounds. Today you can pick and choose for the desired effect you want, within limits.
