Had one. Very unimpressive performance. The 110 grain slug clocks about 1300 FPS from the 7.5" barrel. I have loaded 38 Specials with that bullet weight to higher velocities.
I don't shoot mine very often, mostly because the chambers need a good polishing -- the cases are hard to extract even with light loads. But it is very accurate, and I've clocked it at 1710 fps with a 100 grain cast bullet.

It really gets people's attention at the range. :)
 
.30 carbine Balckhawk

It makes a great coyote gun. I usually have either it or my Contender in .30 Herrett in the cab of my truck in case of any targets of opportunity happen appear. Lot's of cattle where I live; ranchers happy to have the coyote population kept under control.

As many have said, it is loud but so are most of my guns; wear ear protection. The muzzle blast is noticeable during daylight but is really impressive at dusk.
 
Sorry, misread your post. I thought you had converted one. Since this seems like such a popular topic, I am going to start a new thread on the subject with pictures.
