I received a Blackhawk Diversion bag for my 10.5" SBR. Online the dimensions were long enough to fit my SBR but when I got it today it does not fit. Partially because of the red dot and Vertical forearm and also the side mounted flashlight.

Also it fits lengthwise but I need to force it in because the zipper does not open the full length.

Any suggestions on a good bag that will fit a 10.5" SBR and not look like a range bag? I might just go with a long backpack.

I tried. It still is very hard to get in and out of the bag. It fits put the zipper does not open the full length. Its really meant for a rifle split in half. It is very tight and thin. I expected it to expand more...which I gues swould start to look suspicious....but.

I'll have to measure the height on my 10.5" set-up, including the RDS as mounted, but I'm really liking that Cabela's ice-fishing case. Pretty inexpensive, about as discreet as you can get, and that long side pocket would seem perfect for keeping mags, ammo, sling (if you carry it detached), small field tools, etc.

Thanks for posting the link, Yugorpk.

What size and where are you going to carry it? Gym bags and musical instrument cases are often about the right size and relatively inconspicuous. Check out Guitar center and or a couple of sporting goods store or pawn shops and see what they have. Pawn shops will often sell you a mismatched tennis racket case for peanuts.
