will they cycle reliably in a glock 26 with a reduced power (14lb) recoil spring?

The general rule is that any spring that would allow a shotshell to cycle an auto would be dangerous to use with regular ammunition.

My standard Kimber Ultra springs allows .45 acp shotshells to cycle fine and handle regular ammo.

gofastman, have you tried the shotshells with your standard spring?

My Springfield Armory 1911 with a 20lb Wolf recoil spring would feed CCI 45acp shotshells just fine, ate 'em up just like 230gr ball.

It must all depend on the caliber, gun, etc.
I have a Ruger Mark II 10" Bull Barrel Target Pistol that will not even open the action far enough to eject the spent shotshell casing, let alone to CYCLE THE ACTION!

Ive sucessfully cycled shotshells in a stock M&P 40c, Glock 19, and my STI Trojan 9mm. Don't know why i used them in those guns, but i remember i had some and had those guns with me that day i shot them.

I tried Speer 9mm shotshells in a Glock 17 a while back, it would not feed, chewed up the plastic shot capsule and dribbled pellets inside the frame.

I have shot the CCI shotshells for .45 ACP out of my Glock 21 and 36 for more than a decade (out of the 21, more than 5 years with the 36) with no issues whatsoever. Don't shoot them that often, only at snakes. Shot a mag through each gun initially but mostly just keep a mag loaded when fishing or in snake country.
