Ok, I like guns. Now that we've established that this thread is about guns so that it actually belongs in the forum, I have a question:

Who does the instrumental guitar "blue moon" bit??? I cannot figure this out through an internet search. Arrrgh!

Still gonna be locked, this thread is.
Hope over to www.armedpolitesociety.com and ask your question. That's Oleg's off-topic forum, and you don't even have to register if all you want to do is ask this one question.

I've asked a couple questions myself there, and always get a good answer.

Well, we might could avert a thread lock if we change the subject to how many guns we might buy at once if we only bought once in a Blue Moon or what if we only shoot once in a Blue Moon or...

and there it is. Now how many guns will I buy if I can just find out who did that stupid guitar bit, it is driving me mad  arrrgh!

Springfield 1911 Black Stainless, as soon as they're in, gosh darn it

Nice choice. Now this just got me wondering... I wonder what that finish would look like engraved like one of those Texas BBQ guns.:D

Um.... what? What's that?

I think I'm gonna substitute the new Springfield logo cocobolo grips for those black rubber jobbies. If they don't work out, I'll just smoke 'em on the BBQ, thanks for the idea :)

BBQ guns are common among Texas lawmen. What it is is a sidearm that's been purtied up with nice engraving and custom grips. Bart Skelton just signed on to this board... as I recall, he grew up with the Texas traditions so if he chimes in on this one he can tell you more about it than I can.
