Blue Wonder cleaner?

I have. I absolutely love it. If you swab a wet patch of the stuff through the bore a few times then let it sit for 15 or so minutes like the instructions say, it seems to clean out everything. I tried it once with only a 5 min or so wait & it did OK but not great. It cut my muzzleloader cleaning time in half, even got the plastic sabot residue. I only use 777 though, not sure what it would do for blackpowder, probably should still scrub w/soapy water. But for every thing else gun-bore related it does fine for me.

it works really good it even removes rust too i allways use it and a bronze brush to get the residue rings from .38specials in my .357 you just need to let it soak for a little while though.

Luv it - but don't lose it

I depend on it during most of my thorough cleanings - but it has a problem.

The tube it comes in is absolutely terrible. I found that I was easily wasting as much as I was actually using - all due to the friggin' tube. The BW gel would come out in unexpected globs, missing my brush and just making more of a mess than usual.

So...

I "recycled" a wide mouth plastic jar and put in the guts of several tubes and now have a nice setup where all I have to do is dip the bore brush in making the the maintenance task at hand go much smoother.

Give it a ride though as the BW is excellent kit.

Personally I wasn't impressed, though it was more of a hassle to use like RnR said. I use Boretech's Eliminator copper solvent, this stuff will start cleaning on the first patch. It's amazing to see the first patch come out blue & black without any scrubbing. It's also safe to use indoors as it contains no ammonia to fry your lungs.

About the only other product that I would try would be the foaming cleaners but those can be on the messy side also.

Blue Wonder = good stuff. Does exactly what they claim it does.

Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

I thought it did an ok job as a bore cleaner, but I was really impressed by how it works removing rust. It's worth buying the tube just as a rust remover.
