Some tranisitional phase my therapist keeps talkin
I usually keep the bore of my 700VS as spotless as I can...clean with M-Pro7 until no powder fouling comes out on a tight patch and jag, then Sweets 7.62 until there are no more blue streaks. Every session, every time.

So as I'm putting her up for a while to focus on IPSC / IDPA, I think to clean the bore with a sample of Blue Wonder . After following the directions, I get a patch, (from my OCD personality type cleaned bore), that looks like this:

Fresh brush, first patch out of the bore. I got the same thing from a "clean" USP bore.

I took advantage of an offer on their web site...the 4 OZ sample is pretty much free, save for S&H. Might be worth a look.

FWIW,

You sound like you may already know this but the old drill was clean a rifle three days running. Stuff will work itself out of the pores of a seemingly spotless bore the next day. Your normal bore cleaner probably would have picked up some crud had you used it. JMTC

That's kind of why I was as surprised as I was. My normal routine is to finish cleaning with an alcohol (ISA) wash, then to run an FP-10 saturated patch through the bore. Either the next day or before the next session, I'll punch the barrel to see if anything else has loosened up. Sometimes a little bit, most often zip. If I even remotely suspect additional fouling, I'll M-Pro7 until I'm satisfied with the results.

I also can't ascribe the results to the new brush; even if the brushes I'd used before were worn, the patches would have still come out with fouling on them.

I would be interested in seeing results from others who have tried this product as I can say that the company's claims MAY have merit.
