I can't stand blued Ruger revolvers at all and most SS S&Ws just don't much for me either. I lover a nice older blued S&W or a SS Ruger though.

Does anyone feel that blued Rugers are ugly and don't look right? What do you think about SS S&Ws? I have owned a few SS S&Ws but most were from the 1970s and I think that was a low spot in their line-up. They looked like they were finished with 80 grit sand paper. The blued Rugers always seem dull or thin in finish dept.

Am I crazy or is there something to this?

Howdy. I have two blued S&Ws, but I love my stainless 66 the best. I think it's purtier. None of em have the lock.

I've got a 5.5" Redhawk... I couldn't imagine that particular gun in SS. It HAS to be blued. Just an abomination otherwise.

Now the SRH... that should be SS or that funky target grey finish they use.

GP's can be blued or SS, but blued ones must have contoured wood grips.

S&W's should be blued to hide the lawyer glory hole in the side.

The lock really doesn't bother me. I only have one S&W revolver with the lock (642) and I don't even notice it. I never use the lock and the key is in the box with the manual. I don't use the manual either but I don't mind it being included. Not sure what I need to read in a manual about a revolver. It is not like they tell you how to take it apart or something usefull.

I like em!

I like blue rugers if it is one of the old six series. Gp100s are hideous imo. Blue S&Ws are some of the best looking wheel guns around. But old colts are pretty nice too; I'd say it's a toss up.

Talk about junk, I saw a registered magnum the other day. It was so old it didn't have a model number. How on Earth could you use a revolver that old to shoot modern high pressure ammo?? ;)

Geez that thing was beautiful. With the pricetag they had on it, it may still be available.

I like blued Rugers and have a few of them. The Blackhawks (and variations) and Redhawks look good in blue to me. Although the blued Smiths look good and I have quite a few, the blued Colts look much better to me.
Saying something is the only way to go is a bit over the top as we all have our own opinions.
