finally got caught up with my orders and thought i would do something different. this is a very one off variant of my BullDozer model. i left the finish in the white, so to speak. i like the unfinished steel with the colorful and detailed handle. kinda like wearing thousand dollar cowboy boots with an old pair of chewed up blue jeans. just my speed. pics looked nice so i am sharing with the class. no one can accuse me of making the same old knives as everybody else. :D

Oh come on! Give us the details :). Steel type?

It's beautiful, and looks functional.

this knife is 8.5" long and is from 1084, quarter inch steel. did the HT myself, edge quench and tempered at 450 for four hours. scales are blue/black dymond wood with light grey spacer. finish with black micarta pins and a sweeping flat grind. serve nice and sharp.

Oh yeah! Nice and tight. Did you triple quench the 1084? I just bought some and am looking for all the pointers I can get for the HT on 1084. Once again, very nicely done!

HT was an edge quench with a 4 hour temper cycle at 450. 1084 is one of my favorite steels and one reason is the great results you can achieve with a good HT. it is super strong and super sharp. seems to hold an edge very well. i am carrying a knife from 1084. three months of almost daily use and i have touched up the edge once. it stopped shaving and i couldn't have that. :D

-exxarkun78- i will send you a PM about prices. some forums don't like sales talk outside of the classifieds area.
