Been accumalating parts for 8 months and sent of the box of parts to Shuffs Parkerizing for the build. Just got her back the other day

Cant say enough good about Tims work and attention to detail. If you need any Garand work, parkerizing, special builds etc, look him up. He does top notch work

Ran 80 rds through her and she is a real joy to shoot. There is one big issue though, evertime I pulled the trigger I was grinnin from ear to ear. This thing is bad to the bone!!

Really a slick gun you have, congrats!
Right before Jeff Cooper passed I got to play with his at the Sconce. He claimed Louis Awerbuck wore it out when he worked for him :D

It was VERY worn, but still functional!;)

The BM59 has always been interesting, sort of the other M14. It makes you wonder why the US didn't just do the same thing. The M14 shared precious few parts with a Garand - money could have been saved in a big way and still have resulted in a fine battle rifle that way.

Ah, the BM-59; the thinking man's Garand :D

I was dearly interested in one before getting a deal on my 30-06 FN49. The Garand-Garand just doesn't interest me that much since they are so common. I was quite dismayed that there are almost none out there to be had :(

Very nice rifle.

Thanks guys, just had to build it as its just so different than every other rifle you see at the range
