I have a Caspian-made SS 1911 slide that is already cut for a rear sight. A sight with a Novak dovetail is too large. Is a Bo-Mar cut smaller (narrower)? Just trying to get some adjustment in the rear without having to make a new cut. Thanks.

Novak is about the largest dovetail cut out there, unless you are talking about their drop in model designed for stock dovetails. A proper Bomar cut is a complicated multi-cut process with a large flat, a dovetail towards the front third of the flat, and a deeper cut at the rear to house the windage drum housing and sight leaf.
You most likely have a standard GI 1911 style dovetail unless there is something you have left out of your description.
