How about South Carolina? Our deer season starts in some areas on Aug 15 til Jan 1. There are special seasons on WMA land in other parts of the year. If you have private land, you can hunt hogs year round. The special seasons are for hog hunting. You can fish year round. There are several firearm manufacturers moving to the state. We are home to PSA firearms. Any Questions?

In Kansas the whitetails are setting Boone and Crockett records, turkeys are abundant and waterfowl too, especially fights of geese. Western Kansas has mule deer and limited antelope, but my nephews killed 2 this year. You'll not find better squirrel hunting anywhere. Rabbits, quail and pheasants used to be abundant, but not so much anymore. I shoot prairie dogs in western Kansas along with swarms of doves. Gun laws are sensible with lots of places to shoot. My brother used to live in Kansas, then Missouri and currently Minnesota. He really dislikes Minnesota because of the political climate and restrictive shooting laws.

The license prices just jumped in Michigan this fall. I think it's about $20 bucks a tag and if you're a land owner youcan get about as many as you want. They added like a base license this year. I just bought'em and paid for'em. As in a great many other states, the sportsmen and women pay for those who use the great outdoors but dislike us. But it's not bad here yet. Some of the U.P. is now in the QDM program as is part of the L.P. so pick your area. Virtually everyone hunts or fishes. Miles of state and federal land. Heavily wooded with lots of lakes and trout streams. LOTS of snow on an average year. Mountainous towards the west end. There are plenty of cedar swamps where you can temporarily misplace yourself. They don't care much for a city attitude up there. And, as always, bring your own cash.

If you like to fish more than hunt, then Florida is for you. Hogs are plentiful but Fla. would probably be in the bottom 20% for deer hunting of all the states.

PLENTY of deer in Florida, BUT they are small and you need to belong to a hunt club to have a major degree of success. Unlike NV where the lottery means you might have a chance at going hunting one year, or maybe not.......

I live in PA and we have plenty of hunting and fishing spots. It's kind of expensive to live here but it's because there's lots pf peaceful areas to live as long as you aren't in the city. Countless ponds, lakes, rivers, etc. Almost all of PA is a hunting and fishing ground aside from the city like I said. I love my location!
