Bob Day (Powder Horn Gunshop, San Antonio, TX) might be best known for his excellent .22 Conversion units (I lusted after either a standard Model or the 30X) but he did some very nice work on 1911 types.

I especially liked his installing S&W revolver sights on Government models and Commanders.

I have looked high and low and could only find a single picture of my long dead buddy's S&W sighted Commander. ( not posted as it is both out of focus and you can not see the sights) Day also cleaned up the barrel and slide lock up and the trigger and the dang thing would shoot. Buddy sold it to a classmate of mine that was commissioned Armor and he wore the thing about Europe in a GI chest rig and was noted for doing so.

Anyhow I was wondering if any of you guys had a Bob Day Pistol or conversion you might post a photo of and maybe talk about your experiences with his work.

Thanks.
