I'm pretty interested in getting one. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

Would be used for "just 'cause." :D And yes, I know of another place that has 'em for less than that posted MSRP.

Boker makes fine knives and has been supplying the German army for 100+ yrs (including making SS Daggers). For the price of this re-issue, you may be able to find an original, if you are patient.

A buddy of mine just bought a dozens of the original for about the price of one of these Bokers. He was able to sort through them and find still excellent condition WWI models in the box of greasy steel and wood. The rest he ebayed off for a profit.

You may want to take that route.

ebay, gunbroker, local gun shows. google search... good examples of these usually fetch $80 to $150 depending upon condition. the last one I sold on ebay about a year ago for $90.00

A new example for $114.00 still sounds like the better option, especially from a source that's (kinda) local.

In the interests of a better Google search for originals, what're these officially named?
