I've got a Stevens (Savage) Model 200 in .308. It's the most accurate gun I've ever had, absolutely magnificent performance wise and the damn thing was less than $300 brand new. Loaded up with 175gr boat tail fmj's it'll shoot the wings off a fly at 200 yards every time.

My only complaint is the cheesy grag synthetic stock. I've searched for a wood replacement but have come up empty.

Anyone know where one might find a wood replacement stock for the Stevens M200?

Cabelas sells a laminated stock made by Boyds for around $130 that will fit your Stevens. It is the same as a short action Savage. Boyds stocks has their own website, but I do not recall the exact web address but you could Google it. I have read reports very favorable of these stocks.

Boyds is probably the best option out there for a wood stock. If you want to try a quality synthetic stock, I've had good luck with Bell & Carlson for hunting-style stocks.
