Just wondering there's a lot of talk but what would be the most accurate $1000 rifle if the same mount scope and ammo where used. This should be an interesting debate
Actually, I suspect you will simply get a considerable amount of opinion with little scientific substance to affirm or refute anyone's position. In light of that, my vote goes to the Red Rider, with a custom-made Ken Ferrill G-Force picatinny 100 MOA base, Ken Ferrill 30 mm rings, and a Nightforce 12-42X56 benchrest scope. I assure you, there will be no other rifle like it on the bench. Well, let's enjoy the debate.
Other than the well respected tack driving Red Rider (just too much recoil for my taste)...the Savage 12 series with a new stock (B&C, HSP, et al) would get my vote. Great shooting rifle...good value...[strike]kinda[/strike] really ugly. Ugly gets the job done.
yea the savage 12 is a good choice also, this thread may be the thread to end all threads! i can think of allot of very good accurate bolt guns that cost under $1000.....witch is the best? i have no idea!
