Fella's;

While many companies are becoming more left-friendly, it seems that Beretta is actively moving away from that stance.

I own a Tikka Whitetail Hunter with a left-hand bolt. When I purchased it, it was a distribution channel leftover. The new Tikka T-3's had just been released & manufacture of the Whitetails had ceased. If memory serves me correctly, that was the summer of 2003. Beretta bought Sako/Tikka right about the same time. We are now several years down the road, and no left- hand Tikkas are on the horizon according to my sources.

By itself, that's not an indictment. After all the T-3 is selling well & why not let sales start to slow before taking production resources away from the RHB's & starting an LHB production line. But.

Berreta also aquired Franchi, a well respected Italian maker of shotguns. Berreta has now had Franchi cease production of all the O/U shotguns Franchi used to make. That's right, as it were, no more Veloce's or Alcione's.

I had been in the market for a Veloce English stock with cast-on. Franchi was one of the few manufacturer's that I could order that configuration from. I was particularly taken with the light weight of the Veloce as my primary purpose was to hunt grouse in the mountains of Montana. I also wanted a non-Japanese gun if at all possible. Italy supports shooting it seems, and Japan does not.

I like my Tikka, I'd like to own another one - if and only if - I can get it with the bolt on the proper side for me. Hello Beretta, if you want my money, do it my way.

OK, rant off.

None of the new Beretta pistols(PX4, 90-Two, M9A1, 92G-SD, 9000S, Neos, etc.) has that lawyer-happy internal lock which Ruger and Smith seem to have a fetish with. Way to go, Beretta! ;)

At first I thought you left wing but then I relized you meant that Berreta simply doesn't like left-handed people. (Maybe they feel inferior to us, and therefore wish to make things harder.)

Left wing, left handed isn't it about the same thing.

Actually I am suprised that there are not more left handed rifles sold considering that almost half the population is left eye dominate and can shoot a left handed rifle better if they would just give it a try.

"Left-handed people are just right-handed people trying to get attention"

Can't remember who said that.

I never understood why there was not a production 1911 LH on the market.
Randall was the only one I remember.

BTW, CB900F, I had the 1981 900 Custom; great bike, but I always wanted the 900F, with the bench seat. I drove one in perfect condition a couple years ago. Powerful bike.

Fella's;

I coulda waited patiently for the LHB Tikkas to show. But when Beretta bought Franchi & ceased production of the O/U's, that took away my option for a left hand shotgun. And that started me thinking about how Beretta is treating about 12 to 15% of the world's population.

Playboy; You remind me of the old joke about when the seven dwarves got a Papal audience.

MSgtB; Hillary?

Stainless; This one's an old AMA legal 1025 Superbike.

Say what left you mean...

The italian word for "left" is sinistra. This is the root word for the anglo term sinister. Maybe this helps explain why this italian company isn't making those backwards guns. (Maybe this can grow to be a 666 rumor and Beretta can be the P&G of guns):evil:

I think its called southpaw
Rocky explained it in the first Movie. Kinda of a funny scene

Albanian;

Considering the recent history of Albania :what: , I don't trust you either. :p
