I'm sort of embarrassed. She is real pretty and she started telling me about it coming with an extra barrel for .50 caliber and sort of threw me off stride. When I loaded it up and shot it I kept thinking that it looked and felt just like my CVA's. I have 2 .45 CVA's here that I have owned for several years. I'vd only shot one of them and that was a pretty good while ago. I don't shoot the 'big' rifles much any more and when I do then I alway's reach for one of my .45 Traditions. Well, I looked at my other 2 CVA's and they are Hunterbolts also! (I'm sure I knew that at one time but I had clean forgotten) The only difference is that when I got mine nobody said anything to me or I didn't read anything about an extra barrel and the recoil pad on the one she had is made just slightly different than the other 2. I called CVA and finally got hold of someone. They told me yes that the recoil pad was indeed one of their's and other than the pad all 3 of the rifles were exactly the same. BHPFAN and WOLFBYTE, when ya'll read this please don't laugh at me!!....Hey! They're good rifles!!....

I didn't buy it just because she was pretty. I bought it because I wanted it. Her being pretty was just icing on the cake. We had dinner together right here at the ol' 5th wheel....

you sly dog...no one's laughing. And some of us are jealous.Hey, I'm the guy that keeps buying guns in PAIRS...I got no room for even a snicker. And damn little money left, either.

Evening BHP.. Naww, I don't think anybody's jealous. I hope they're not. Besides, I'm getting to be an old man. That's probably the last gun I'll ever buy and if I had snapped that I already had 2 just like it (except for the style of the recoil pad) I wouldn't have bought it anyway. But still, I'm not the least bit sorry about the deal. It shot good and if you want the truth about it I will probably never shoot it anymore.
I know the feeling BHP. I alway's liked to buy in pairs to. That way I would alway's have a good backup...Well, I had a couple of extra dollars until she showed up and now I'm spent out to!....

Smokin Gun, thank you sir. Damn right!! Give me a five gallon bucket of Viagra pills and I can take care of business!....Hey, it is a good rifle....

Heh heh.I have a lot of pairs, two pair [Dakota .45's and '75 Remmies in .357] that are even consecutive. I definitely saw too many Westerns as a child...
