I ordered a Boyd's laminate stock for my Remington 700 ADL to replace the plastic one it came with. The rifle actually shoots pretty well with the cheap factory stock, I just never really liked it. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with their product. Anyway, I ordered one and they are backordered. I won't see it until July. Just curious as to what I should expect.

Atleast they told you upfront it would be July.

I bought mine last year, and was told it could be 6-8 weeks, but expect it sooner.

I got it at about 15 weeks or so :what:, after being told several times it was already done, I would have it in a few days etc. Customer service was lacking.

When I got the stock, it was very nice. Took a little dremel work to fit everything, but it was close from the start.

Only bad thing was that the front action screw hole was a little off to the side, and tilted, so I had to open that up to fit the action properly.

Rifle shoots great now though! I bedded it with Marine-Tex.

I have 3 of their stocks, no complaints. You might want to install pillars. Laminates are stronger than most woods and definitely stiffer, it will shoot better than a plastic stock, but if you pull the action down too much it is possible to split the stock along the laminations, pillars prevent this.
