Brady Campaign MySpace?

I loathe the whole "myspace" concept, but if anything will get me to join, THIS is it!

You notice how there seem to be very few dedicated "anti-gun" message boards when compared to "pro-gun" message boards? I say we hammer them with actual common sense and truth and they'll run away! :D

EDIT: Ah, crap!!! The Bradyites won't let you post any blog comments til they are "approved." I just submitted one, but I won't hold my breath to see it on the site....

EDIT II: Hee hee hee...Brady = 138 friends. NRA = 1796 friends!! :D

Hahahaha, the brady myspace has 138 "friends", the NRA has almost 1800. :) I love how comments have to be approved. More proof that most people would just overrun their site with proper views that overturn their twisted agenda. Warms my heart!

Might just have to be their friend. A guy with a gun user name as a friend. :)

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer!

138 friends? Wow, the Brady Campaign isn't too popular.

The idea of politics on Myspace is, in my opinion, a failed concept. It's a social networking site for teenagers to act like teenagers (for better or for worse).

There are older users for whom having "Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence" in your friends list isn't an automatic disqualifier to getting laid, but I'm betting they're largely outnumbered by younger people who don't give a rip.

Then again, I guess every little bit counts when you're talking exposure, and Myspace is cheaper than teevee commercials.

It's all about what people and kids see as "normal". When you see many responsible adults who belong to those organizations it certainly can't hurt.

Remember all that "guns are bad" garbage in school these kids hear? This is your chance to show some of them that it's normal part of a lot of people's lives who don't make the 6'oclock news.

Jeez, I'm a n00b....I can't figure out how to get to my profile to edit it! :banghead:

I'm gonna be Mayor Daley's friend and ask him about the whole "Alderman automatically get a CCW" thing! And since you HAVE to be a friend to comment, guess I better be the Brady's friend too.

(...Soon as I figure out how to make my @#%!*& profile.... )

EDIT: Ok, I'm gettin' there!

myspace is pretty useless when it comes to politics

my old profile got deleted because I fought back against a hacker.
myspace is great for connecting with old and new friends, socializing in your underwear at home, and great for keeping up with music you like.
but for politics I avoid it like the plauge,(sic) they do not teach reasoned debate in schools and there is none on myspace.

MySpace is pretty good for networking, as well as the above point of free exposure.

BTW, I would say the pro-gun side of the debate is well-represented on MySpace.

YouTube is another place where political and social commentary get free exposure. I avoid the comments sections like the plague on there, unless I see a chance to post relavent links to well-reasoned pro-gun sites or articles.

I can't post links right now, but there are also MySpace groups for:

Libertarian Gun Owners
Students for the Second Amendment

Mosin-Nagants
Milsurps

Join the campain to stop illegal gun ownership by joining a group that attacks legal gun owners.:fire: .

na na na naaaa....na na na naaaa....

Hey heyyy...goodbye!

Invalid Friend ID.
This user has either cancelled their membership, or their acccount has been deleted.

Looks like the Bradyites took their toys and went home? :neener:

I'm not quite sure what's going on, but the brady bunch link posted at the beginning of the thread goes to a page with this at the top:
Greetings Highroaders! I am offering a $100 CDNN gift certificate to the best photoshopper of Oleg's posters. Submit via Myspace IM.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Oleg's work isn't public domain, which (I think) would mean this jerk is violating his copyrights. Perhaps a cease and desist order is in order. . .

Several photoshopped images have been posted there, absolutely terrible. I emailed Mr. Volk, if anyone has a better way to get a hold of him...

Hey, what the? What's going on with that myspace account! I just thought that they left?

I'm guessing they left and this clown re-registered with their name.
that or someone actually hacked the account, but I find that unlikely.

Whoever this clownshoe is, he works fast....at the time of my last post, there was NO "brady campaign" page on myspace....

I also don't appreciate the false allegation "Greetings Highroaders! I hacked and deleted the Brady Campaign profile on the request of certain members of your forum."

Hmmm...note the spelling of "defence." A qualified sheep from the UK?

How sad, did you read some of the material they have on there, it makes me want to vomit. Its reading garbage like this that really makes me want to go out and buy another gun! Freaking hippies!

Nice to see a lot of gun supporters giving responses so bluntly in response to those blogs, good job guys, let em have it!
