As long as they don't ban my 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with 303 horses :evil: and "NASCAR" Race Inspired Spoiler I'll be ok.

LOL this is so crazy, I cant believe an educated politican or whatever he is considered, has nothing better to do.
It is Kinda sad though.

I agree, Civics are entirely too fast. Why, just the other day one almost caught up to my pickup truck.
 
97 2x4 suburban with a 350 engine and a 42 gal. tank, it'll do 100 mph, crush smaller cars, and goes about 500 miles between fill ups. if only it was a 4x4 silverado...
 
HEY - if it saves the life of just one child, well, we all know it's worth it!

And what's to be done about those Saturday Night Special Race Cars?????
You know the ones, made cheaply in small garages in California...
 
Cheap, "Saturday Night Racing" cars such as the type favored by speeders, street racers and other criminals should also be banned.

I would amend the bill to read "No car for sale under $9,900.00 shall be permitted to be sold."
 
I think you need to institute a "Race Car Buy-Back" program - that'll help get these terrible things off the streets...
 
Let's not forget those massive Semi-Trucks that weigh 55,000 pounds and are 45 feet long. They're capable over running over kiddies across the country, and have nearly 5.5 million foot pounds of energy @ 50PMH. They combine range, hauling power, and impact energy far in excess of any legitimate commuting vehicle. They are not just big cars: they are purpose-designed and purpose built vehicles of mass transportation. Semi trucks are the largest vehicles generally available to civilians and explosive, incendiary, and biological cargo containers are easily obtained.

Ain't that the truth. But I noticed that the Caterpillar D9 is to be outlawed. Then what will i do with mine? But my D10 and D11 are still good to own right? How bout my Peterbilt 379 that has a "wing" on top and can hit 89MPH on a good stretch just ask my driver. lol good stuff

That may have been my favorite line. But at least my '91 Celica is safe (it doesn't have a wing/spoiler/fin/whatever :fire: )
 
Mufflers require a $200 tax stamp, background check and cannot be transferred. Muffler is defined as any device attached to the vehicle designed to lower the noise produced by the motor.

Silly car grabbers. They don't realize that this old "junk car" is capable of speeds and ranges beyond your simple "street racer" car. It's old. It's homely. It's just too . . . ordinary . . . to be a racer.

But the black market will fill in the gap and there is always "Straw Purchases."
 
First they came for the Civics and I didn't speak out because I didn't drive a Civic

Then they came for the Lancers and I didn't speak out because I didn't drive a Lancer

Yesterday they came for the Subarus and I didn't speak out because I didn't drive a Subaru

Today they came for my Gremlin and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I used to work at a large northeastern University that Must remAin nameleSS :scrutiny: and parked in a lot surrounded by dormitories full of Asian students! Almost all the boys had race cars - the lot was full of Civics, Hondas, and so on with wings, BIG chrome exhaust pipe tips, and spoked alloy wheels whith LOOOooooooowwww profile tyres on 'em. :what:

Brady doesn't want oppressed minorities to have race cars!

HMM, how many 10gal fuel tanks can you have one one truck? my F-150 has 2 15gal tanks, can I replace both or do I have to remove one entirely? if they can pronounce "NOS" can they keep the sticker? :)

As long as they are "pre-ban" tanks, you're OK the way I understand it.
