If you look at the links on the Brady website, you'll notice a certain link is removed... I suppose the current truth is something they would rather not repeat. :D

http://www.bradycampaign.org/issues/

BTW, I was able to retrieve a copy from the cache:
In the two hundred years that followed ratification of the Second Amendment, no gun law had ever been struck down based on the Second Amendment.
There has now! :neener:

I found this one under the CCW B.S. icon.

The number of crime victims who successfully use firearms to defend themselves is quite small. According to the FBI Uniform Crime Reports and the Centers for Disease Control, out of 29,569 Americans who died by gunfire in 2004, only 229 were shot in justifiable homicides by private citizens with firearms.

Duh!!! Most of those 29k Americans were probably not armed. Had they been, maybe this stat would be reversed. :banghead:

If you click on the link in the sidebar, not the picture you get this:

The Truth About the Second Amendment
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Second Amendment is perhaps the most misunderstood of all provisions of the U.S. Constitution. Criminal defendants and the gun lobby have repeatedly claimed that reasonable gun laws must be struck down as a violation of Second Amendment rights. Yet the U.S. Supreme Court and an overwhelming majority of federal appellate courts have held that the Second Amendment protects only a right to keep and bear arms in furtherance of a well-regulated militia.

HAHAHA, really?

Hopefully the Brady campaign, and other organizations like them "go down in flames" from a lack of financial support.

It also does not mention that between 800,000 and 2,000,000 crimes are stopped each year by private armed citizens. In something like 95% of cases, the citizen does not even fire his weapon. That *might* have something to do with the low "body" count the dishonest Brady people trot out as if it meant something.

Guajiro, thanks for that thought. Here's another by researcher Gary Kleck:
most defensive gun use is estimated at over 2 million per year and no shots are typically fired.
More here if you want to go read about it:

Most Americans never see or hear about it from our main stream media because of their bias - see John Lott's book, The Bias Against Guns...

well now the Brady Group can go pound sand :neener:

Unfotunately they're not gonna go away. We still have a fight on our hands especially if Obama gets in.

Yes. I agree. And you misunderstood it.

And the walls come tumbling down.

I'm amazed they actually took it down instead of digging their heels in and sticking their fingers in their ears. Of course you can't look too batty if you still want to get donations.

Of course, they probably get all teary-eyed over criminals who get shot by police, or who get shot by other criminals...

Let's pull THOSE numbers outta the group too... Drops the numbers way down.

And about all you have left is the mulletude darwining each other...

To use the other side's logic, if it saves just one life . . .
