It seems that new 30-06 brass in Remington and Winchester brands is non-existent right now. Are you experiencing the same thing? Anyone know what is going on? Another supply scare like the one in 2009 after OBamma was elected?

i always check when i go to scheels and i dont remember ever not finding 30-06 brass. might check there.

I mostly purchase once fired brass for my rifle calibers. No shortage there I have noticed. Locally there is not much of any caliber stocked as far as new brass anyway and what I see seems to remain constant. The only new brass I have purchased lately has been pistol brass. I always try to purchase Starline when I do.

I buy factory ammo after shooting I have new once fired brass. The most economical way to get new brass IMHO.

agree ... when I bought my M&P40 I also bought 1,000 rounds of Federal Champion. I now have 1,000 cases that have been reloaded 2-3 times. Buying brass for the sake of buying brass, when factored with the price of powder and primers and bullets, it's just as cheap to buy some FMJ plinking/target ammo.

My Bass Pro Shop was out for quite a while...got it from Midway.

The way Win is churning out brass you may want to be glad you can't get theirs! ;)

I bought a bunch and some cases (many) were below my trim-to length already, in 30-06.

They'll stretch...
