I have a scoped 10/22, I would like to get a brass catcher for it, but the one I looked at looked like it would interfere with the scope....are their any brass catchers recommended for use with a scope?

Also, gotta do something about that trigger....

I built a small stand out of 1x2's and attached a plastic garbage bag to it. I set it next to the rifle and most all of the cases are ejected right into the bag. I set it about 2 feet away from the bench (I'm left-handed so I use the right side of the bench) and it doesn't interfere with movement.

When I'm finished for the day I just toss the bag in the trash. BTW, this also works for my Mini-14 Ranch. It has a habit of tossing cases about 15 feet!!

I think I remember someone trying to come up with something like this before. I think they ended up and put stick on velcro around the ejection port and made a mesh bag to fit up to it. I'm not sure about all the details with the charging handle or whatever though, I don't have a 10/22 so I don't know what they're like really.

If your shooting from a bench though I'd go with the free standing catcher, most guns are pretty consistent with where they throw brass.

Baseball cap: hang it by the back (brim hanging down) from the scope elevation knob and flip up the sweat band to make a lip. Doesn't catch a lot of brass, but works just fine if you need to make sure you police your brass.

"Well, I don't really want to leave any."

Just out of curiousity, why is that?

Unless you're doing some real high volume, nonstop shooting, the baseball cap works great. It doesn't catch/hold a lot, which means you need to empty it after a magazine. For walking around in the woods, I find it perfect, wear the cap, find your shot, place cap on gun and shoot. Empty cap into pocket and put back on head. If it drops any brass (as do the commercial ones I've tried), it will be at your feet. Give it a try before you dismiss it, you may be as pleasantly surprised as I was. :)
