So I took a bunch of brass and placed them in some vinegar, salt, and detergent.
Swished them around for awhile, rinsed them, and threw them in the dryer with a bunch of hand towels.
Presto! Clean shiny brass. Well, at least the outside.

Don't suggest doing this when the wife is around!!!
Noisy as well.

Seems like a fun way to prass brass but I'd be somewhat concerned about making the dryer a lead hot spot.

No before and after pics?

When I get home later I'll post some before and after pics on some .50 BMG stuff I did with Iosso.

I tried to post a pic but something went haywire and now it won't even let me do anything. Guess I'll have to try something else!

The 3 on the left are from one batch, the one on the left hasn't had anything done to it. The one in the middle has been tumbled for about 3 hours and the one on the right was dipped into Iosso for about 1 minute.

The two on the right are from another batch, these just show a difference of a before and after. The one on the right was in Iosso for about 1 minute.

Absolutely no problem with the dryer and lead...It went out with the wash solution...

I know that would remove any existing residue, but if the brass wasn't decapped it seems like there would still be a risk of introducing lead.
