Brass shotgun shell dimensions?

I would like to fab my own brass shells in 12ga. Anybody
have any info?

Made of cartridge brass which is 70% Cu and 30% Zn.
Might be hard to find cartridge brass round bar stock?
Regular brass bar stock (63% Cu and 37%Zn) may not work as it may crack when fired..

I'd suggest you buy a few brass shell cases you could use for referance standards.

There are generally two types of brass hulls made.
One uses Large Pistol primers, and the other uses #209 shotgun primers.

That's the CBC/magtech all brass shotshell hull. As for dimensions, I could do a few rough dimensions for you, since I have some and have loaded them.

As RC said, there's another one out there, the name escapes me right now, perhaps somebody else can come up with the name and a source.

Durnit, if I'd just have followed RC's link I'd see them. Hammer double crown!
