In 1969, I was working for the phone company in Victorville, CA, and we completely reworked the phone system in the tower at George AFB. It was a busy place at that time.
As for brass shotgun shells, I've still got a few of the military all brass 00 buck loads. At one time, I had a full case of them, but shot most up and traded away the rest. As mentioned, the military used them because they didn't swell up in tropical climates.
I now see the MagTech brass shells at the SASS matches for the guys and gals shooting blackpowder in their double barrel coach guns.
