Breakin' the law

I had a thought last night.
Seeing as all of these Mayors of large city's
have declared that they won't help the immigration
folks,what if one somewhere declared they will
not assist in any way the enforcement of gun laws.
I guess if a Mayor or Sheriff decided that the 2nd
means what it says,what could/would the Feds do?
They could either:
1.Not enforce ANY gun laws
2.Enforce only Fed laws
3.Only state laws
4.Any combo of above.
That might send a message!

Municipalities generally have no authority to enforce federal laws. However, they usually have their own set of firearms ordinances.
