My son got his new digital camera today so we had to break it in. We were on the way to the back forty to burn some 7.62 X 39 surplus ammo so we snapped a few pics by the barn.

What a terrible influence you're being on your son! Guns, of all things!

Just kidding. I can't imagine having access to those kind of guns when I was his age. I'm sure he loves it. It's a good thing for a dad and his son to have something like that to share.

When I was his age, it was a single-shot .22 rifle and a single-shot 12ga., but I still LOVED it.

We went to see the renactment of the Revolutionary Battle of Guilford Courthouse today. About 150 or so renactors with Brown Bess muskets, some muzzle loading rifles and 10 and 20 lb, muzzle loading cannon. During the height of the battle with black powder smoke rolling, horses neighing, cannons roaring and men shouting commands my 11 year old son leans over to me and says;

"If our side would have had SKS's or M-16's we would not have had to retreat from that battle."

DUH:what:

From the mind of a child.

DOAH!!!!!!!

My son did get a replica of Sting for Christmas and a throwing tomahawk yesterday.

WOAH
