I finally figured out how to get away from having those annoying powdercoat tags on the base of my bullets. It turns out that the secret is ....
The three bullets in the front are examples of the problem which stems from baking on the same nonstick foil I apply the coat on using the ES gun.
Oh! The secret? Well it's simple and easy a tip I had seen mentioned on thehighroad. Bake the bullets on parchment paper. The powdercoating will not adhere nor will it even flow across the stuff. Instead of spreading out away from the bullet and gluing it in place it now flows around and under the bullet bases neatly.
