There are already proposals to do similar things here in the US, by requiring all newly made vehicles to have a GPS tracker installed.

I know someone who lives in one of the post-industrial cities. There's entire gangs of people who basically get drunk, go out and break things because they have no work, but they have welfare without restriction as to what they can use it for, so they're bored and dangerous.

And the residents can't stop them from breaking things because they're unarmed. Someone recently set fire to their motorcycle for no reason.

Why I like the custom car culture. It still costs less to have a decent Acura, Lexus or such, bought used, totally overhauled and upgraded, basically leaving you with a new car, than it does to buy a new one.

Watch that only become more widespread if that goes through. They want to kill new-car sales? Go ahead.

Sounds like were I used to live, had a 80% Unemployment Rate with a Pop of almost 200,000, roughly 90% of which were Alcoholics or Drug Addicts or both.

& Crime in the area was totally out of control mostly due to some moron's decision to strip the local PD down to a 3 Officer Skeleton Crew.:banghead:
