For some reason, I had the impression that she believed that the streets were safe and went to prove herself correct? I may have read that completely wrong though. The show was supposed to air this evening (their time) so maybe a vid tomorrow?
Anyway...comments from her fellow Brits.
Crime is down. The streets have never ever been safer thanks to New Labour's tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime promise.

That's one way to get rid of the BBC!

The legacy of a failed Prime Minister of ten years and a usurper who followed him into office with no better ideas. Our great loss.
- Mike, Coventry
Welcome to England - under Nu Labour.
- We'Re Doomed, England
Sadly this is probably representative of many of our cities and large towns. But Jacqui says we are safer now than ever, and Jack wants to keep more and more out of prison - ivory towers spring to mind.
- Mick, Middlesbrough
What a wonderful place government has created for our children and grandchildren, no wonder people are leaving in droves.
- Lindy Wilson, Mersin 10, Turkey
Tough on crime, tough on the cuases of crime? NOT.
I think that this says it all.
- Weejonnie, Co Durham
No problem, no one was hurt. Besides, crime figures are down according to this government...
- Algenon Beaker, Devon
Capital of culture? There's more culture in a pot of yogurt.
- David Kendall, St Helens
Shelagh welcome to Nu Labour's la-la land.
- Andy, UK
She is part of the Liberal Elite BBC types that have caused this problem.
Now there is no where left to run they might start to realise what normal English people have known for years.
Your social experiment has failed.
- Mark Greenwood, London
She must be imagining it, our leaders tell us, this does not happen and crime is down. It's all under control. We should get the army to patrol these streets, and see how these thugs like a taste of their own medicine.
- M Harrington, Hitchin, Herts
Welcome to NuLabor's Grate Britain.
