Britney Spears now "pro gun"??

So my wife shows me this article in the Taiwanese newspaper..

Britney Spears, holding baby in hand, slips on the sidewalk while walking, and manages not to kill the baby, because the bodyguard was there to hold on to them.

She then turns to the paparazzo, and says "See? This is why I need a gun."

How does slipping equate to gun ownership??

The newspapers here in Taiwan have very little mercy for Britney.. They love to publish the stupidity that spews from her mouth..

But my wife turned to me and asked.. "When did Britney become pro gun?" Great question! ?? I thought she was right under Julia Roberts on the NRA hatelist.. no?

The Taiwanese newspapers comment something like "In America, there's a stigma about blondes being dumb.. " as the quote below the article... :neener:

I presume because she was blaming the paparazzo for her slipping, a way of saying she'd like to run them off with a gun.

Not that she'd know which end to hold.

That makes me want to cry. Had to do a lot of forensics in my Archaelogical Science degree. I hate all the damn mathamatics and statistics associated with it. You know its a pain having to explain to the police doing searches at the train station why you got a skeleton in a box in your luggage.

I would agree with others opinions of her being mentally retarded.
 
Translation problem? Information step loss? No indication of any position on firearms?
 
She's a Southern girl - IIRC, her father chased off some curiousity seekers that showed up at his house a while back with a .357, so I suspect that she's been exposed to guns as she 'grew up'. OTOH, I think she's basically just white trash, rich white trash, but trash nonetheless.

The thought of her with a gun is indeed scary (VPC would love to have her cap a paprazzi, eh?). Though she was upset about being swarmed by the paparazzi (like she couldn't go out the back door?), being the media 'ho that she is, I'm sure she knows that she needs the pub to keep her career going. In reality, it was her too long jeans that caused her to trip, not the 'razzi. If you look up "ignorant slut-muffin" in the dictionary, guess whose picture is there? I am not a fan.
 
Maybe she meant to say "hired gun?"

Agreed. I'm sure she was mis-quoted. What she really said was probably "This is why I need a gunman."

We all wanted to be things growing up by watching TV. I wanted to be Clint Eastwood:D . I read this article a while back & thought about mentioning it but decided not to. I don't think that Britney would be a good pro-gun spokeswoman. I can just see on the news that she had a AD in her home:rolleyes: .
 
Wow... you pple really can lay it on about someone you know little, if nothing about.

IF she wants a gun, its her GOD GIVEN RIGHT to have one. Hell, get her two.

As for her being trash, or rich white trash, unless any of you fat old men can ever even think that you could handle being a 'personality' then you should give it a shot.

Get some talent, be famous, and then DON'T EVER SCREW UP. Famous people are under CONSTANT obersrvation and even the slightest slip from perfection (scratch your butt etc) is plastered on the tabloids. If someone followed you around all day what kind of gawd awful trash would they find out about you?

Let me know how it turns out.
 
I keep telling my wife that I need more guns so I won't slip, but she doesn't believe me :rolleyes:

There's a huge difference between being in the public eye and living that life with decorum and dignity (I'm thinking Laura Bush, Lance Armstrong for example) or being famous for dressing like an underage prostitute and 'singing' a few power ballads, then getting married twice in two months, the second time to a professional baby daddy who moves his previous girlfriend and her kids in under the auspice of employing her. Not to mention the smoking and drinking that pregnant women shouldn't do even if they aren't famous, or the mysterious incidents of child abuse that are coming to light ("but he fell off his chair").
No, Britney always was and always will be a tramp, anyone who has been around women can see that, it's in 10 ft high letters above her head, and not to mention crusty black circles around her eyes.
Her 15 minutes are nearly up, after the next (unsuccessful) CD she will retire and gradually fade off.
I hope she does get a gun, she will need a good hobby.
