The nail polish trick will be useful if you decide to go with the original G10 Manix 2 (which, again IS a great knife, and incredibly strong). Should you go with the Tenacious or Persistence, the G10 is less abrasive, for some reason, so you shouldn't need it. :)

It sounds like the H1 Dragonfly might be a good choice for you. The Dragonfly is a little knife that cuts like a much larger one.
