I was loading some primers in come LC 30-06 brass and broke the lever on my lee auto prime. I removed the crimp from all of them but of course there are still a couple that are tight. Do these levers break often? I will call Lee and see if they will do anything about it. I noticed some of the comments on Midway said that some of the guys have replaced numerous levers on theirs.

They break. They're cheap - buy extras.

I usually do a yearly purchase of spare decapper pins and a couple AutoPrime levers.

I have broken a lever, twice, and had the body of the device fail where the shell holder goes. I have 3, and I keep 1 with the large primer punch, one with the small primer punch, and a spare for when one of the others breaks. They're cheap, they work VERY well, but they ain't durable, nosir.

Just spoke with Lee and they are sending me another lever free of charge.
Just don't be surprised when you get a bill for the S&H. A few months ago I called them about the bolt being striped on my auto index clamp and they sent me a new clamp and a new ratchet. They sent me $6.50 worth of parts for free but then sent me a $4.00 bill for the S&H. I didn't pay it but I'm sure there's a flag on my account and they will add it to my next order. I'm really not happy with Lee's Customer Service policy if they have the nerve to charge me S&H on a warranty item. (but that's nothing new for Lee)

My Auto prime is 13 yrs old and has been milled out with a dremel tool for priming .50 AE and Beowulf! It still works great although the clear cover is yellow and it barely stays on when I prime! I have to use a bit of scotch tape sometimes. It came with an Anniversary setup I started loading with and even new they are only about $13-15. Good little tools!

I bought an extra lever from Midway and still waiting on the replacement from Lee. I sure wont be happy if they charge me for shipping.
