I bought a G26 last spring to try for summer carry and its been a great little pistol, even shot some IDPA with it for fun.
This mornning I pulled my Old Colt officer out of the safe and
the world is right again.I know its just a tool but some pistols do feel like they have soul.
Bob.

I have to agree. Some do , some don't. You know when you pick the right one.

Yeah, I hear ya. I typically carry a Glock 19. I just installed new sights on the 19, so I switched back to my 1911 until I get used to the new sights. It feels all warm, familiar and cozy tucked into my waistline.

I only carry the Glock because it gets hot and humid in the south and I tire of the weekly field stripping and cleaning to fight away rust hobgoblins.

I carried the Glock this summer to keep from sweating all over my Colt again
this season, but it does feel like old home week.I will say the 26 is a nice little pistol and do not regret buying it,and will most likley carry it again next summer with no guilt about the abuse.

I have mixed feelings about my 19. It's nice, accurate, reliable and it gets the job done. It does feels slightly more bulky to carry than my 1911, but not so much that I find myself wanting to leave it at home.

I have shot XD's and glock's several times in the past. I didn't realize that I wanted an XD until I bought a Glock.

I purchased a Glock 29. Also purchased a lone wolf 40 S&W conversion barrel. . All my 10 mm ammo is reload by me with new brass from starline. . The 40 s&w coversion barrel allows me to use range brass and shoot lead. Dont mind losing a few 40 s&w cases but i do mind when some nut picks up my 10 mm brass.

A little bigger than the 26 or 27 but close enought for me.
