I just bought what seems to be a beaut of a gun today--the popular Smith & Wesson 686.
What can I say? I love it! It is a standard 6-shot 686 with 6" barrel. I bought it for lots of reasons. I plan to carry it now and then, and I would also like to hunt with it. Is hunting commonly done with the 686? That's the reason I went with a 6" barrel as opposed to the 4".
Also, would anyone suggest a good site to get some nice wood grips for this gun?
Also, kind of a general revolver reloading question: do cases not wear out as quickly in revolvers for reloading purposes? If this is true, it would be great news, because I just started reloading this year and would love to know that case life is better in a revolver.
Thanks!
