1C453E38-970D-47AB-A1DD-115626C581AE.jpeg Baby Rock, that is. A miniaturized 1911 chambered in 9x17 mm that’s noticeably heavier (and cheaper) than the Browning model, and a lot of fun to shoot. It fits my hand perfectly, only slightly more recoil than the baby Glock, but with one more round than the G42. I could shoot this all day.

I had initially found the magazine (stainless steel) follower binding at the top of its travel, but by the third box of cartridges it was running just fine.

Neat little pistol.

Had heard of it but hadn't seen one til now. Please keep us updated as to the long term reliability of this gun as I love mini 1911s like this and would like to add it to my collection.

The follower is binding up again, so I stopped shooting. Tonight I ordered a new one on eBay and also opened the faulty one. To me it looked like the spring is upside down so I reversed it.

I want to say the only issues I have are mag related, so we’ll know something soon. Otherwise it shot a tad high and left. The sights are miniature GI, so small and black but adequate. The images of my targets illustrate poi. One is 5 yards, the blue oval is 25 yards. Consistent groups but up and left a bit.

Interesting. Got any common guns you could post a pic of with your new companion for scale?

Llama made a baby 1911 in 380 years ago. Something old is new again.

I had one a long time ago, and I believe it was smaller than this Baby Rock. Although it appeared like it was a small 1911, the extractor was an external one and the thumb safety could engage the slide when the hammer was down.

Way too small for my long fingers and sold it a few years later as I had no real use for it. I bought it because it was "cute".

Wow, I just saw one of those in .380 yesterday. Didn't know they made such a thing, but then there are a lot of handgun brands I don't follow as closely as I should. Price seems great on them. Congrats on the new pistol!

I just submitted a warranty claim with ARMSCOR because my front sight came loose and went flying at around 300 rounds. Also the aftermarket mags I purchased on eBay are worse than the Metal Form the pistol came with. Constant stovepipe shells stuck in the action. It’s been well cleaned and oiled during this trial run. The original mag with the backwards spring seems better but not good enough. This one is going to the back of the safe.

And .32 ACP, of which I have one. Nifty little guns.

I like the look of the new Baby Rock. Is is too much to wish for that they follow up with a .32?

CB9526A4-CB37-4CE6-A9F6-BDADAC8AFD8F.jpeg I picked up a Browning Black Label 1911 - 380 about six months ago and love the gun. I have six magazines and have about 400 rounds through it with only one fail to feed that happened when the gun was new. CB9526A4-CB37-4CE6-A9F6-BDADAC8AFD8F.jpeg

I think the current Llama company has a similar 380 in production. The new Llamas are made in the Philippines like Armscor.

Sorry to hear about your ongoing problems. Hopefully you can get things worked out with the magazines and having the front sight reattached.

I really like the look of these. I thought about picking one up for the wife, but had heard horror stories about their reliability. Your findings are encouraging.

That is about as 1911 one can get for a .380. Have not seen any better, nor have I seen that before.

I like it, even though I'm not a .380 guy. Very nice pistol, sir. Very little bling (beavertail/extended grip safety, commander hammer, ambi-safety unless you are a southpaw, skeletonized trigger with no adjustment for takeup). It DOES have the straight 1911 mainspring housing and appears to be of Commander (4-1/4") size. Nice checkered front strap and the grips appear to be very functional. Very nice.

I am just an old 1911 .45 Government 5" guy.

Much my style if I wanted one. Kudos to you, sir!

This little gun appears to have the same size of the Colt Government 380 stainless I used to own. The slide appears to be alot thicker. Yeah, I think the magazines are the weak point of this type of guns. The second magazine I ordered for my Colt was not 100% reliable: the follower wasn't as good as those of the magazine that came with the pistol and I had to modify the last spring coil just under the follower.
